On behalf of the MAC Education Committee we invite you to attend the following webinar:

“The Underestimated Risk of Money Laundering in Merchant Acquisition”

Presented By:

Caroline Hometh Jose Caldera

Money laundering is entrenched in the world financial system. All aspects of our financial system are vulnerable to nefarious organizations' schemes.
These organizations use identity fraud, mules, and shell companies to hide their true intentions and operations. They create storefronts
and the proliferation of e-commerce has intensified the ability of this channel to funnel fraudulent and money laundering activities.

The scope of regulators is broadening at the realization and the tangible impact of how the system is being abused. In the U.S.,
acquiring banks are responsible for monitoring their merchants’ behaviors and transactions. They are also responsible for reporting suspicious activities to the authorities.
New regulations continue to put pressure on the underwriting process, and acquiring banks are pushing the monitoring requirements downstream
to payment facilitators, ISOs, and other non-bank third party organizations.

In this webinar anti-money laundering experts Jose Caldera, Chief Products and Marketing Officer, IdentityMind Global and Caroline Hometh, Managing Partner, RPY Innovations,
will review the landscape of threats and applicable regulations and will delve into specific practices that are in accordance with the regulatory landscape and
moral obligations of risk and compliance officers within the merchant acquirer infrastructure.
